No. You do not need to know how to shoot a pistol or a rifle. We love working with those brand new to firearms up through expert level. We do training on the marking rounds at our facility and can do handgun fittings and training at our partner live fire ranges, Point Blank Range Matthews and Point Blank Range Mooresville.

You’re welcome to video throughout the Shoot House Competition Matches when participating.

Other than those competition days, no outside video or photography once class, training, or shoot house experience begins. Smart glasses with are not allowed. You are welcome to take photos and videos before and after your session.

Firearms 101 Private Training & Handgun Fittings

• For Firearms 101 Private Training we will provide everything including your session ammo, eye pro, and training pistol.

• For a Handgun Fitting, we will cover the range fee and firearms rental wall fee, you will be responsible for nay targets, ammo, and eye and ear pro.

For All Shoot House, Tactical, Home Defense, Safety Team, and Security Professionals Training

• Please bring mechanic or tactical-style gloves. A shirt with sleeves, long pants, and closed toe shoes are required for training and long, loose layers such as hoodies, sweatpants, light jackets, or loose-fitting jeans are required for the marking rounds scenario training portion of your training.

• You’re encouraged to bring a water bottle and any snacks you may want during your session.

• You are also welcome to bring your own kit, Glock 17 compatible holster, and weapon-mounted or handheld lights.

• A Glock 17T training pistol or AR-15, marking rounds ammunition, and all required PPE will be provided.

• If you plan to train with a rifle, you may bring your own AR-15 chambered in 5.56. Please leave your bolt carrier group at home. No live bolts are permitted in the training area.

• Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a shirt with sleeves are required for all shoot house training. Tank tops, shorts, sandals, and slides are not permitted.

Mat Classes

• Mat classes require a sleeved shirt (no tank tops) and bottoms that cover the knees, such as leggings or sweatpants.

No, we do not do firearms transfers. Our partner company, Point Blank Range in Matthews and Mooresville will be happy to take care of that for you.

No, you may not bring your own pistol to train with. The marking rounds cannot be shot from any standard, live fire pistol. Glock manufactures the Glock 17T pistols that we use so that no live rounds can be chambered or used with them.

No live weapons, bolts, blades, sprays, etc. allowed.

Yes, training with your own rifle is a great option to test your set up and gear and run the scenarios on your own platform.

You can bring your own AR-15 platform style rifle chambered in 5.56 into our facility. You will have to leave your bolt carrier group (BCG), ammunition, and magazines outside of our facility (at home or in your car.)

Carry your rifle in a rifle bag/case into our facility and we’ll ensure it’ll be ready for you to use in our facility after it has been inspected.

Ages 13 - 17 are welcome to participate in any of our private tactical or self protection training.

Ages 18+ are welcome to participate in our private tactical and self protection training, as well as our scheduled group classes.

No. You are welcome into A+R TACTICS without a CCH/CCW permit.

The Force on Force™ marking rounds have an appropriate pain penalty to let you know you did something wrong. Loose, layered clothing helps mitigate this.

Yes, you can register and hold the number of spots you require. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can have the surprised party register and fill out the online waiver. Ensure you or they bring tactical or mechanics fitted gloves and thick long clothing.

We recommend tactical or mechanic style gloves.

Absolutely. You can rent the classroom area, entire facility including shoot house, vehicle, and mat area for corporate and social events. As an NRA or USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor, you can rent our facility and gear, including our training firearms to put on your own trainings. The facility is also available for rent for airsoft, laser tag, etc.

Absolutely! You can purchase digital gift cards online, or we are happy to send a printed card as well. Call to arrange. We will make it an awesome experience for your recipient!

This policy applies to individuals, couples, families, and friends booking A+R Tactics’ standard training options.

48 Hours or More Notice

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact A+R Tactics at least 48 hours before your scheduled training. Payments made toward your reservation will remain as an A+R Tactics account credit that may be applied toward a future eligible training session or service, or you may reschedule to another available date.

Less Than 48 Hours Notice

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before your scheduled training are not eligible for a refund, rescheduling, or account credit.

No Shows

No shows are not eligible for a refund, rescheduling, or account credit.

Participant Changes

For shared private training, your reservation is based on the number of participants booked and confirmed. If one or more participants are unable to attend, this does not automatically cancel the reservation for the remaining participants or create an individual refund or credit.

No Refunds

All training and reservation purchases are nonrefundable.

Active A+R Tactics Members receive member benefits and discounts on eligible training and services.

Booking & Availability

All training and reservations are subject to availability. Membership does not guarantee specific training dates, times, or availability.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Member reservations follow the same cancellation and rescheduling policies that apply to the type of training or reservation booked.

Standard and shared private training requires at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. With at least 48 hours notice, payments may be retained as an A+R Tactics account credit or the reservation may be rescheduled to another available date.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the scheduled training, as well as no shows, are not eligible for refunds, rescheduling, or account credit.

Private groups, team training, corporate events, and other group reservations are subject to the separate Private Groups, Team Training & Corporate Events Booking & Cancellation Policy.

Membership Discounts & Benefits

Member discounts and benefits apply only to eligible services and cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions, or offers unless specifically stated.

No Refunds

All training and reservation purchases are nonrefundable.

This policy applies to private group events and organized team training, regardless of group size, including bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthday groups, corporate and employee events, Church Safety Teams, Security Teams, team building experiences, and other customized private training.

Because these reservations require dedicated facility time, instructor scheduling, preparation, and resources specifically for your group, the following booking and cancellation policies apply.

Reservation & Payment

Your reservation is not confirmed until the required payment or deposit has been received. The individual or organization making the reservation is responsible for payment for the group and for communicating applicable reservation policies to participants.

Confirmed Group Size

Your confirmed group size is used to reserve facility time, instructors, and resources for your event. Once the final group size and price have been confirmed, the reservation is financially committed at that amount.

If fewer participants attend than the number confirmed, the total reservation price does not decrease and refunds or credits will not be issued for individual participants who do not attend.

Changes to Group Size

Please contact A+R Tactics as early as possible if your expected group size changes. Adding participants is subject to availability and may result in additional charges.

Any approved reduction in group size or adjustment to the reservation price must be made before the final headcount deadline established for your event. After that deadline, the confirmed reservation price remains due regardless of the number of participants who ultimately attend.

Cancellation or Rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling terms for private groups, team training, and corporate events will be provided with your reservation. Because significant facility time and instructor resources may be reserved specifically for your group, these terms may differ from our Standard & Shared Private Training Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.

No Shows & Individual Cancellations

Individual participant cancellations or no shows do not qualify for refunds, credits, or reductions to the group’s confirmed reservation price.

No Refunds

Payments made toward private group, team, and corporate reservations are nonrefundable except where otherwise specifically agreed to in writing by A+R Tactics.
